Rated 5 out of 5 by The 20 gage version I have the 20 gage version of this gun. I bought it for home defense. The next day I went rabbit hunting with it... It became my rabbit gun/home defense gun. I have taken rabbits with this at 40 and 45 yards. Great little partridge gun too. I put a sling on it, for ease of carrying while managing dogs in and out of the woods. Also added a LimbSaver recoil pad. Great fun gun. Easy to clean, durable, and dependable. Never had a problem with it in 6 years and it does not get treated with kid gloves. Good close in (home defense range) with buck shot and slugs but not that great at 25 or 50 yards. Of course it was never advertised as a deer gun... February 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Cowboy Gun I swapped out the Stoeger Uplander that I was using for Cowboy Action Shooting for this Coach Gun. It's the same design, but a shorter barrel. The gun performs flawlessly. I've had no issues. For ease of use, I'd suggest a lighter latch spring and polishing of the entire latch mechanism and extractor. If I can do these things, so could you! Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple yet effective I was looking for a double barrel shotgun in 12 gauge and decided on the Stoeger. Got it home and reassembled it right away with no problem. The design is simple but when used at a paper target 10 - 30 feet away it is very effective. Easy and quick to reload. Best of all, the price. At $399.99 this was well worth the money! Rated 5 out of 5 by Stoeger Coach Gun Used this Shotgun for taget practice on lg Coffee Can. This baby did a number on it, looked like a screened door after I got done. No problems at all, great price. Impressive for shooting or home defense. Double 00 buck, would stop an intruder. Permernantly. December 28, 2012

Old question, but NO. The chokes are fixed.

This design is not meant for changing chokes. It's a short range gun.

No, the choke is fixed. The Stoeger's Coach Gun Supreme offers interchangeable choke tubes, however.

Oh yeah you can but be ready for some serious kick. It always depends on the loads you use as well. I use #1 or 00 buck for home protection. One barrel is enough kick and will take out the bad guy if need be. For duck & goose I use one barrel at a time and use #4 to #6 shot. To shoot both barrels at once and you have double English style triggers, the first one will fire both barrels. But if you want one barrel at a time use the back trigger. Hope this helps. Good Luck, damudbug.

Yes you can, it has a double trigger and as long as you can squeeze them at the same time it will work. I was at a demo day and did it last weekend. Big kick, big noise and big fun. Got a knuckle bite but it was worth it. I am going to buy one when they go on sale.
