Purchased this rod in March 2012 and have used it in both freshhwater and saltwater. I wasn't sure about the tangle-free guides but after a couple of fishing trips and no tangles, I purchased a second rod. I highly recommend these rods.

I love these rods. I have two stellar lite split grips and on Seagis in the 7'6" med/hvy. No complaints at all. From snook, redfish, trout and flounder to bass, even a 30lb Tarpon held up well. Best of all LIFETIME WARRANTY in store, you cant beat that. Dropped an anchor on one and the next day went to bass pro and got a new one no questions asked, with reciept of course.

got the 7' med heavy coz the tackle shop i went don't have the 7'6" all my rods are 7'6". this the best rod i ever purchased. i throw topwater, catch 2000 and DOA shrimp with bobber.
