Considering all the warnings and 'toxins' in this bottle, I expected it to wipe out all the mold stains on the boat seats...but after multiple applications, spraying, wiping, scrubbing, we realized it was useless. Tilex works far better; we just thought we would give this "most efective way to control and prevent mildrew stains on boats" a try. Not even close.. Not worth the money, shipping or trouble.

Star Brite Mildew Remover is the best. We use it on our pontoon carpet which is subject to lots of wet, dirty water where the carpet is not protected from the elements. The Star Brite removes the mildew every time making the carpet look comparatively like the protected areas. Great product.

Is this product harmful to the stiching, likeso many of the other cleaners?

Just one bottle. The special buffered formula will not harm vinyl upholstery or threads. It is a much safer alternative to using bleach, and can also be used around the home or in RVs wherever mildew stains are a problem. Thanks

It should, but the vendor recommends testing a spot first to make sure it doesn’t harm the surface. For cleaning fiberglass on boats, the vendor recommends a good boat wash first to try and clean it off or a Starbrite or Bass Pro Shops branded cleaner wax that has some grit to it.Top 25 Contributor

I've had few areas where mildew builds up on the fiberglass itself and have used the product to get it off. I think the product was more intended for removal of mildew on seats and side panels. When I would use it on fiberglass I would always make sure to wax that area immediatly so it would no fade the glass.1 of 1
