I bought this item specifically for it's high B T U output..The first had to be returned because the casting for the gas control lever was unfinished.I returned that unit and purchased a new one online, incurring shipping charges..After receipt, this one leaked gas from 3 of the 6 controls..This one was replaced and,on the new one I find it virtually impossible to get the 3 way burner to operate in unison at lower levels.... The problems are basically with the gas control, but one has to lug the entire 42LB item for return instead of replacing the control bar..I also suggest that the instruction pamphlet should advise that the burner has to be covered in order to light the flame...

This thing is a beast!! made of rugged cast iron, this stove is at home in most any campsite. It is adequately sized for large frypans and stockpots, Heat is plentifull and adjustable via. 3 gas controls per burner. I bought this stove for hunting camp as I was tired of using the flimsy fold away conventional camp stoves with tiny burners, and that couldn't handle large diameter pans. The Fat Boy stove works great, I would highly reccommend it for serious camp cooking, hovever, it is not a stove for the "once a year camper" as it weighs 45 pounds, and is relatively large. The only thing I would complain about, is that in all fairness, considering the cost of the stove they should have included the propane hose and regulator .
