This frog works great on bass and pike.I prefer using the double hooks. I'll have to try the bull size.

The Watermelon Red Pearl (color #3) works great. I've had success with it multiple times this summer. I tend to get more hits when I fish it like a crank bait, and reel at a slow to medium speed, keeping the lure about 6 inches under the surface. Attached is a picture of a 3lb 10oz bass i caught with it (It was released in excellent health).

i've seen frogs fished, i've fished frogs. but never a frog like this. hogs go wild for them. their actions on top water remarkable. they're the last resort the first time. so pic up a frog and go hog crazy.

A 3/0 WG- I would switch it to a 4/0 - you'll get more hook-upsA:Â
The ribbet frog works best with a 4/0 superline hook.A:Â

wide gap size 3 hooks work just as good. I have tried all and that is the best.A:Â
I believe I bought the weighted hooks you are looking for at Bass Pro near Pigeon Forge TN last Saturday. They are made by Gambler Lures. They are called: Chris Lane's Double Trouble Toad Hook. They work well for me. Try Bass Pro online or google with the above information.Dr T

I had the same problem as you finding hooks for these frogs so i just buy the pack of three with one rigged with the perfect hook...you can try owner hooks but good luck finding the right size (i couldn't). Also about you wanting the weighted hooks...try dragging these frogs along the surface in shallow weedy/lillypad waters (unweighted). They make a bubbling wake and kill where i fish.1 of 1
