Stacey's Finesse Jig
Stacey developed this cross-eyed jig especially for deep jigging for spots and smallies. It's hand-tied live rubber and silicone scaled skirts create some unique color patterns and tremendous fish-catching action! The 30 strand weed guard allows this jig to finesse on while its brilliant red eyes add a realistic look. Sproat-style black nickel jig hook keeps'em hooked.

I purchased several of the Stacey King jigs and caught large bass both smallies and largies. Tipped with craw chunk "unbeatable"!!! I fished them at lake Oneida New York and private Lakes in Pa and consistently the big bass eatum up!!! My favorite color combo is the watermellon green with black skirt. Add a 3.5in.Gambler Otter and you have a bass busting bait!!! I will see how well they work at Chautaqua Lake N.Y. in my first bass Tournament June 16th.

the use of this particular jig is not just limited to deepwater jigging.i use the 5/16 oz as my go to all around jig.with the eye set and color options they are a deadly combination.i will use them in relation to a football style but with far better results.i can cast or pitch them into very heavy cover and retrieve jig em back out.or,i use them in deeper water(4' to8')around standing timber.my hookup ratios are phenominal.the best all around jig in my arsenal.one of the best attributes is simply by changing the trailer you enhance certain characteristics dramatically.such as fall rate or swimming abilities.very versatile jig !!!!!!!!one thing i would like to see is some more color options(yellow, a lighter shade of blue, and a more predominate orange shade.simply put your basic color groups.just improve on what you already have.

Killer spotted bass jig with finesse tail or small frog trailer...short skirt in front of jig head seems to give it some added attraction. Great colors.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Brentmeister Custom Quality Finesse Jig!
This is a very high quality jig and is equivalent to much higher priced custom/hand tied jigs.
Finesse jigs are good any time the bite is tough and down-sizing is indicated. I've had the most success using this bait in late fall/early spring - also in the dog days of summer when the bass can hold tight to cover and become finicky. This jig also works well flipped or pitched around boat docks or lily pads.
I like to pair this jig with a Paca Chunk trailer (smaller size) in a watermelon/red color. In north-central and northeast Texas the GREEN PUMPKIN/BLACK SCALE color has been the most productive. You can add a lighter or darker trailer based on water clarity/light conditions (darker water/light = darker trailer).
I fish this jig on a medium action rod with 10 lb fluorocarbon. It is best to vary the presentation until a pattern is established. Since it is finesse bait, I usually start off with a subtle hop/shake presentation. Sometimes a higher hop off the bottom is needed to trigger a bite.
The construction of the jig is excellent. I’ve not experienced any issues regarding the weed guard falling out. I usually trim the weed guard to just at, or slightly above, the hook point. Sharp scissors work well. The hook is a heavy wire and will hold up to larger fish. The skirt material is good quality and holds its color and shape well. The paint job on the head is high quality and does not chip or flake easily.
This is an excellent bait to use when a finesse presentation is indicated. Once a limit has been achieved, this bait can be used to upgrade the size of fish. When the bite is slow, we will usually drop-shot or shaky head until our limit is caught. Then we will move to the finesse jig in an attempt to upgrade and cull. Even when the bite is slow, larger fish can be had on the finesse jig compared to other finesse techniques.
Good Luck!
