This is where most anglers get their first taste of St. Croix quality. The St. Croix® Premier® Series Crankbait Rod is an affordable series, but the quick, precise tapers, lightweight SCII graphite blanks, and aluminum oxide guides ensure that each rod will handle like a custom stick. Advanced IPC Integrated Poly Curve® technology eliminates "dead zones" in the blank; you'll find the casts uniformly crisp and clean, and the actions finely tuned. Fitted with genuine Fuji® graphite reel seats and select-grade cork handles for supreme sensitivity and easy handling. And now they're even lighter, faster, and stronger than ever! Made in USA.

Best rod for money
I bought the 7' MH moderate for 6-8 diving crankbaits and this rod casts and lands fish great. You will not find a better rod for crankbaits in this price range.

I have the 6'-6" ML and its awesome. Hooksets are always clean, it's very durable (actually closed a car door on it) and is very light and comfortable. I have always went with Fenwick's but I just bought a PC60M and expect the same quality. I hooked into a 19lbs. chanel cat while fishing for spots with the ML and there was no issue. An awesome rod for a good price.

These rods have a moderate action, meaning they flex in the middle of the rod. They are meant to be used with crankbaits and other lures where too much sensitivity would cause you to set the hook too quickly. Some people also use these rods for lipless cranks, spinnerbaits etc. If you're looking for an all-around rod, rather than a rod to use spefically for 1 or 2 types of lures, I would not suggest this rod. In that case look for a fast action rod in the regular premier series, it will flex at the tip and be more sensitive.
I own a crankin stick in 7'M for 1/2oz. lipless cranks and a St. Croix 7'MH, both are great rods, and have very similar action, except the BPS has a softer tip. I like the BPS so much i'm selling my more expensive SC. Never used a KVD rod.
The KVD rod my dad uses the 7'10MH lacks sensitivity and is VERY tip heavy.. however it does keep fish pinned well and has a very nice parabolic action.
The Croix rods are better balanced and far lighter however they will not keep fish pinned as well as the KVD rod. so thats what you need to think about do you want a more sensitive rod thats lighter and balanced better.. or a rod that is far less comfortable but hooks and keeps fish hooked better.
depends what series of rod you bought. i think triumph series have a one year, premiers have a 3 or 5 and avids and up have a limited lifetime warranty. if you do break one i believe there is a small replacement fee from st croix
