Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceeds Expectations I wondered about St. Croix rods' reputation. Now I have six of them - all different types. They all exceed my high expectations. The Mojo Inshore is paired with a Penn 3500 SSV. Great for fresh and saltwater fishing. Amazingly light. A pleasure to use. April 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best rod for the money I have the mojo inshore spinning 7.6ft med, with a Penn 4500 ssv. This rod has become my favorite for trout and reds out of all my poles.-And I have a lot of poles.Light as a feather, but with plenty of backbone to keep reds from cutting me off on oyster beds. But still has the finesse to bring in gator trout without ripping out the mouths at boatside.Casts easily with great accuracy.Gonna get a couple more December 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Rod - Great Company I have 3 of these Inshore Mojo's. All are MLF (2) are 7' and (1) IS 7'6". I have them teamed up with my Pflueger Supreme XT's and Patriarch reels. Very well ballanced and light. I never knew I could be that accurate in casting. The real fun starts when you have a fish on. Fast action and strong. I had the misfortune of breaking the tip. I packed it up sent it in on Wednesday and I had a brand new rod Tuesday the next week. No Questions asked. October 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pole I love this pole it is light weight but very tough. I bought it for fighting snook down here in Florida and it handles them with ease. Would highly recommend !! October 5, 2012

I am trying to pick out a good surfcasting rod for the beaches of Cape Cod. I am mainly going to be chasing blues and stripers with it. If it is a good rod for that application, what specifications would you reccomend? Thanks

A:
This is a great rod for your application. At 7' it is a shorter then your average surf rod but it allows for great flexibility and ease of repeated casting. I have had no issues pulling in large blues and 30+ inch red drum with no problems. I have had 4000 and 8000 series reels on the rod and travel with it everywhere.
