Rated 5 out of 5 by Jbush Great rod!
Bought the 6 10 crankster and loved it! It's lightweight and can throw the light crankbaits with ease. A must have rod for anyone looking to throw squarebill or shallow crankbaits.

As with all St.Croix rods this rod does not fail to live up to their reputation. Great craftsmanship, good looks, well balanced, great action. It casts big crankbaits like a rocket, its super sensitive and feels great in the hand. The only draw back is that its not a good rod for fishing heavy cover. That's mostly because of its length, it is 7'10”, so its not as maneuverable as a shorter rod. But that's why I have shorter StCroix rods for that. Its well worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone.

6 plus tip=7per chart on St. Croix web site
Details:
Is this rod graphite or glass . the rods title line says its glass but the description of the rod says its graphite and doesn't mention glass at all . Come on St. Croix you can give BassPro a better description than that . Someones help here who owns one would be greatly appreciated . Thank You !!Answers
A:
These rods are both glass and graphite. Its an inner layer of graphite wrapped with glass. And the tip section is all glass so that its softer and more flexible so you can cast it better and so it won't rip the hooks out of a surging fish. The inner layer of graphite is to give the rod backbone and to make it lighter because glass can be heavy in a rod this size.A:
St Croix offers both. Go with the glass. there are two different sizes. Both are excellent rods. ensure you pair with the correct gear ratio reel and flurocarbo line for crankin. good luckTop 250 Contributor
A:
They use the same description for the regular Mojo Bass line and Glass rods. This rod is a fiberglass blank.A:
It's fiberglass... This is from the St. Croix's website..."MBGC74MM / CranksterThis high-quality glass rod is designed to handle small-to-medium size crankbaits with exceptional efficiency."

I don't see why not. I have the Medium/Fast Action rod and I have put on a shallow crankbait before. Didn't catch one but the action felt nice. I primarily use mine for plastics but like I said above, I have used it as a crankbait rod in a pinch.A:
Depends on wich one but yes some of them definately are. There are a couple (i cant remember wich ones)that say crankn on the rodA:
It would excell at crankbaits and blades but could be used for multiple applications. I would not recommend it as a general purpose though.1 of 1
