Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Rod This rod seems to have a very good backbone, but still manages to possess more than decent tip action. I have yet to test it on the water, but I'm dieing to find out what it's like. I actually don't usually fish for walleye, but this rod was recommended to me over the mojo bass so I tried it out. The medium heavy model is thinner than the medium heavy mojo bass model, but I guess due to the material it is stronger per % of thickness than the mojo bass. Very strong rod, great paired up with the bps pro qualifier. January 9, 2012

Pike & Musky

Details:
Would this rod be suited for Pike and Musky using cranks and bigger bucktails. I'm looking for a rod for cranks and bucktails with good backbone without going into another musky rod. Any and all opinions/suggestions welcome.

I think it would be great for the type of fishing, however to really know if you like it, you'll have to test it out. You will know if it's the right one, trust me.

That's what I asked at the store, and I was assured it will be a great rod for bass.

it would be great... even tho these are "WALEYE tech spec" rods they still offer great power and action options you could apply to any fishing... I own the 6'3'' ML and i never go walleye fishing lol I really wanted a mojo bass but im not a fan of anything much bigger than 6' for bass fishing, plus I feel this has a much better reel seat than the same price mojo. As well im even going to pick up the 8' for kings next fall. you'll love this rod
