Springfield Spring-Lock Power Rise Pedestals
I just purchased a seat and pedestal for the front of my boat ,thinking that all pedestal shaft's and the hole in hole in the floor mount were the same size in all boats .
Not so . I did not see a diameter measurement for the pedestal and therefor thought they were a standard size on all boats . Instead of going through the trouble of sending the pedestal back to Bass Pro ,I fabricated a spacer to accept the pedestal . The hole in the floor mount is larger than the shaft .I think it would be beneficial to other customers if Bass Pro prints in the catalogue , the make of boats the pedestals will fit as well as the diameter of the pedestals .

Spring-Lock Power rise pedestal
Great product, I have tried other brands but this one is the best. It will wear out ,but after long use.

Good fit and finish
Good fit and finish on this product. Comes in a couple different lengths to accommodate people of all sizes and preferred uses. In my case I got the 24" adjustable to 29" pedistal because of my long legs and the fact that I like to sit high in the boat while fishing. Adjustable piston is a little stiff when new and adjusts down very slowly when lever is pulled, which is't a problem for me but I weigh 250 lbs. Someone lighter may have a hard time getting it to go down.

No other option
I have had two of these on my 2010 Ranger and both have failed. The original one would not release to allow the pedestal to retract/lower, second one the collar around the shaft has broken so now the piston wobbles. If you average this out they last about a year. Unfortunately this is the only pedestal that will fit my boat so I am forced to buy another one and hope that it last longer.
