Does it's job The Springfield Spring-lock power pedestal does it's job. I needed something that would adjust my seat to allow me to move up and down now that I'm getting older and as I said it does the job. The only reason it did not get 4 stars is the fact that it did not come with hardware to mount the seat itself. It is also a little high in price. July 21, 2014
Seat pedestal I just purchased a seat and pedestal for the front of my boat ,thinking that all pedestal shaft's and the hole in hole in the floor mount were the same size in all boats . Not so . I did not see a diameter measurement for the pedestal and therefor thought they were a standard size on all boats . Instead of going through the trouble of sending the pedestal back to Bass Pro ,I fabricated a spacer to accept the pedestal . The hole in the floor mount is larger than the shaft .I think it would be beneficial to other customers if Bass Pro prints in the catalogue , the make of boats the pedestals will fit as well as the diameter of the pedestals . No other option I have had two of these on my 2010 Ranger and both have failed. The original one would not release to allow the pedestal to retract/lower, second one the collar around the shaft has broken so now the piston wobbles. If you average this out they last about a year. Unfortunately this is the only pedestal that will fit my boat so I am forced to buy another one and hope that it last longer. August 14, 2013
Power raised pedestal Great reliable product. Only wish would be a setting that locks the seat so it does not swivel. May 27, 2013

I have these on my Ranger 18VS. Just give Ranger Customer service a call to confirm, but I believe Springfield is the company they use for their pedestals.

Yes. To make totally confident call the Ranger Customer Service department. They can tell you if you give them your boat serial #. I have them on my boat which is a 2005.

Best bet is to go on line and look at both company web sites. They probably won't match up but it would be worth a call in addition and ask their reps.

Springfield makes a complete seat power seat with the ability to lock the direction and tilt of the seat. It doubles as a leaning post which I like especially in rough water.
