The Sportz Midsize SUV Tent's Intelligent design lets you incorporate the back of your CUV, SUV, or Minivan into the tent's layout, turning your vehicle into a comfortable home away from home. The vehicle's cargo area converts into a storage area or sleeping space, which eliminates the need to unzip and zip tent doors and open and close vehicle doors to get something you need. Made of durable 1200 PU polyester taffeta with a NEW bathtub style woven polyethylene floor, the Sportz Midsize SUV Tent’s roomy 9' x 9' design sleeps 4-5 people. You'll also enjoy plenty of headroom with over 7' in the center and 6' at the corners. To ensure you're catching ZZZ's and not rain drops, the SUV Tent boasts the GoBe Dry rain protection system, waterproof floor, NEW full length and taped seamed rain fly, storm flaps in windows and NEW steel and fiberglass pole structure to provide reliable protection from wet weather. Our trailblazer has a single hatch that opens up. Works perfectly. I can see where it would also worked for a split hatch that opens up and down. I dont think it would work well on a side-to-side hatch.
The rain fly provided was sufficient for us. The sides of the tent are pretty straight so if you zip up the windows partially you stay dry in a reasonable rain.
I have to tell you we bought the 10x10 model last year. Wish we had kept this tent....the bigger one is a waste.
