I enjoyed the book & DVD.
They both had a lot of good tips. The book goes into greater detail & has more information on the topics highlighted in the DVD.

It does cover surf fishing basics.However, it is much more focused on inshore fishing from a boat.
I found the I formation on rock jetties/walls & wading helpful for surf fishing.
