Rated 5 out of 5Â by BostonBill A better pet through electricity
I recently bought a 3-year old 'finished' English Setter who is easily distracted. I was advised by the seller / trainer to get a GPS & to use a training collar. The SportDOG Brand® TEK 1.0 LT Series Tracker & Trainer GPS+E-Collar Dog Training System is the unique combination of both and works very well however, you must read the directions thoroughly.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by commanderdave Weak Beep
This is a nice product except for one thing. Unless you have PERFECT hearing you will not be able to hear the beeps from the collar or the hand held receiver. The Point Notification Mode can be set to vibration and/ or beep. You have to be holding the receiver in your hand to feel the vibration, if stuck in your vest or pocket with any layer of hunting clothes you won't feel it. The on-point beep notification is a VERY VERY WEAK non-adjustable high frequency tone. If you have any hearing loss at all, which most of us veteran hunters do, you cannot hear it unless held very close to your ear. Sportdog needs to modify this notification function to a fully adjustable sound across the frequency spectrum with volume control.

This the best I have used. To have both tracking and e-collar in one unit is the way to go. I am going to get a second unit for my daughter and her dog.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Gundalow Defective Product
Carefully followed set-up instructions of this brand new unit today; however Stimulation Buttons #2 & #3, and the "On Point" Alert do not work in the Tracking Mode. Appreciate Bass Pro providing timely delivery (it's bird season) but now I must deal with SportDog and hope they respond favorably and expeditiously to these defects. Collar is bulkier and heavier than I anticipated, suspect weight will be reduced as technology advances. Will provide results of my experience dealing with SportDog and their response to these defects. Will update my rating accordingly and after I and my Setter use the product in northern NH.

I have a Beagle that I use for Rabbit Hunting. How long is the collar and will it be too big for the Beagle's neck?Answers
A:Â
It should fit your beagle.A:Â
No, it will not be too big.The plastic collar can be cut so that you don't have all the extra collar flopping around.
We have one on a min-pin that's only 20 lbs and neck is like my small wrist.
Works fine.

All GPS systems (GeoPositioningSystem) are receivers that receive satellite signals. They all work worldwide. US troops are using the system in Afghanistan as we speak. The systems tend to work poorly and sometimes lose reception when there is a very dense canopy from big trees and the system may work poorly when surrounded by tall buildings. Also it does not work inside or when there are roofs over the dog. Otherwise it works everywhere.A:Â
no it doesn't use gps. and it should work fine in europe.1 of 1
