Spiderwire Stealth Braid Fishing Line
Great priced braid
Just about every local store was out of my regular brand of braided line. I found the Spider Wire Stealth for a great price and decided to give it a shot. I had purchased a medium spinning rod and needed some line. I thought for the price, if the line turned out to be junk, I was only out a small amount of money. This is my only spinning rod and after about 3 months of heavy use, I am very impressed.
Even with very expensive braided line, you will get some memory. Maybe just a tiny bit, but there will be some. I can honestly say I can pull off 30-40 feet of line and it just lays down. No twist, no coil and not a bit of memory that I can tell. When I initially spooled this line, I had forgotten to spool it correctly by lying the spool flat and spooling it in the same direction as the bait turns. I just ran it off the spool like my bait casters. Even with doing this, I still have no line twist or coil.
I purchased the 15# for my spinning reel. It has the mono diameter of 4# test line. This line went on the reel like butter. Laid perfectly flat with no issues. I backed it with about 20 yards of cheap mono to prevent slipping. After about 2 weeks of fishing, most braided line begins to fade. While this does nothing to hinder its ability to catch fish, I wanted to point out that this Spider Wire Stealth, has not faded a bit. Even after 3 months of fishing it, it still retains the same color as when it was spooled. I have no idea what the breaking strength of this line is, but I did get hung up once and it took way more than 15 pounds of pull to get this to break.
The line is somewhat ruff going through the guides and kinda noisy. Its not near as smooth as the higher priced lines. I really cant tell a difference in casting distance though. But for the price, this line is hard to beat. I still have enough to spool another reel, but after using this line for 3 months and no signs of wear, I'm sure I will have the remaining spool for a long time.
While I will probably not replace all my braided line with the Spider Wire just yet, I can recommend this to anyone wanting to give it a try. Its about half the cost of other quality braided lines. If a person wanted to give braid a shot, this is the way to start out. I can tell you this, if this braid is your first test of braid or a Spider Wire product, it will definitely not be your last.

I have used Spiderwire since it came into existence and have had outstanding results. This stuff is sensitive and tough. I have 20lb on my bass rods and 50 lb on my cat rods....I have snagged up plenty fishing for both....and have straightened out a hook or 2 trying to pull out of a snag. Memory on this line is zero and works great on casting or spinning equipment....one hint....do not overfill you spinning reel cause it will make a mess....just a good strong line that delivers.

I have used Spiderwire braid for years and it has never failed me. Ive used it fresh out of the box and caught fish and have also used it from sitting on a spool for 3+ years and caught fish. Throw on 15lb line and there is no fish you won't be able to bring in.
The ONLY problem I have with this braid is that it is so hard to break you need an ultra sharpened knife or very sharp fingernail clippers.

Quality at an Affordable Price
I've purchased Spiderwire Stealth before and I'm very comfortable with purchasing more and getting the same quality results at an affordable price. I still use line that I purchased over 10 years ago. With a little care, these lines are as good as the day I bought them.
