Spiderwire Stealth Braid Fishing Line
I put this line on my girlfriends combo. She has a Pfluger president on an Abu Garcia Harold ensley signature series 6" medium rod. She catches a lot of Pike and The occassional Musky and loves braided line. This line fell short in almost all expectations. It is strong, but that isnt all we are looking for when buying this type of product. It has to have a very small and consistant diameter, no memory, and it has to keep its shape. the spiderwire did none of this. not ot mention It coated her spool with a green residue that I literally had to scrape off. One of the best braids she claimes she's ever used is Ugly Braid by Shakespeare. I prefer Fireline.

Real World Unbiased Review!!
First off, let me say the negative reviews here are not fair. I use the 6/20 version and the 15/50 version. First the 6/20 is a stout line. I have personally pulled 4-5LB Largmouth out of milfoil and duckweed using spinning gear and scumfrogs. So when someone says it is weak or the line broke it is BS. Check your line for nicks or your rod guides with a Qtip for snags that might cut or fray your line. If there is a failure in the line, it may not be the line but the equipment or the user!! Any line will only take so much punishment or abuse before it breaks. Some people think this stuff should have the breaking strength of a tow strap. On the flip side of the coin the 6/20 is so managable I use it for trout and Crappie fishing as well. Now to the wind knot theory every person with a bad experince claims. If the line doesn't wind tight onto the spinning reel it will get loops just like mono. If it is wound tight onto the spool you wouldn't have these problems. I like this line so much that when my girlfriend gets a "wind knot" I will immediatly cut it out and then tie a blood knot to join the cut pieces together. If you tie the blood knot right it won't slip and it will hold through battles with fish. Reason I know this, she has three blood knots in her line and they hold up to catfish, hybrids, bass, and stripers. Oh, then they claim they can set the hook on a fish and it digs into the spool. This is not a problem because on the next consecutive cast just pull a little line out. Problem FIXED!! My fishing partner has problems with this line on occasion. I take his rod and reel away from him, use it for a dozen or so casts with no problems, then give it back to him and the problems begin again. THIS IS DUE TO USER ERROR!! Learn to use it properly. The 15/50 is so awesome I would rate it a 10 if they would let me. Scumfrog fishing with a baitcaster is so much fun. I had a 5 lber dig into the slop after the hookset. So what, I wrapped it around my hand several times and pulled him and 10 pounds of slop right out of there. It has yet to dig in on my spool and I can cast a Trophy scumfrog a good 30-45 yards. That is 90-135 feet people. Some people think you have to throw the lure a Mile. Reaslistically anything further than that you will have trouble hooking anyway because of slack line and heaven forbid the wind blow a bow into your line. We all know that there is no wind when you fish. If distance is an issue don't cast into or across the wind. Throw with the wind. Finally, this is not mono or a copolymer. It behaves differently. It will loose some color due to sunbleaching. It will loose a little of the teflon coating over time due to abrasions. It will still work!! Just don't expect it to hold with no problems when that next bass pulls you, your fishing buddy, and your $40,000 bass boat with all of your gear up a waterfall.

Ive been fishing spiderwire braids my whole life. Ive tested all other lines and this one is #1. I uss it for everything. Tarpon, snook, redfish, trout, bass, sharks everything. No problems with any pound test. No knot breaks no slips no nothing. Have had a spool of 15lb on my reel for 7 months and it still holds up to around 23lbs. People that say they have problems meens they dont know what they are doing. I will always be spooling up with SW and all the others can rot.
