SpiderWire Super Mono EZ Monofilament Fishing Line
I just created a basspro account to tell everyone how horrible this line is. I lost several fish on this junk. I will never buy this line or any other spiderwire product for that matter. When i got back off the lake i tied a 2.5 pound weight on the end of this line and the other end to a basketball hoop. It could barely hold the 2.5 pounds. When i let the weight drop about 10 inches (what would be your hook set) snap.... every time. If your into competition fishing i would highly recommend this stuff to the guys your fishing against. Hope this helps. Dont let this stuff ruin your fishing trip!!!!! Im kinda upset this review makes me give it one star.. it doesn't even deserve that!!!!

This is a fine product for all anglers anywere! I have pulled in many fish in the past month with my lo vis 20lb test. I just pulled in a decent sized pike on this line can you beilieve it! The line has little to no stretch which is good for "horsing" the fish in. This is an excellent line for those who dont want that high test braided line like you see the pros using. I assure you this will work in any situation. I have thrown many different types of baits on this line. They all work, but the heavier the better. Give it a try if you dont like Hey its not that exspensive. Good luck all!!!

try this line
I use a lot of mono line and this is in my opinion the best. I use spinning reels only b/c I fish left handed. This line adds distance (noticeable) to your cast. It has normal to less memory. The breakage point is way beyond it's rating. For bass fishing, use a minimum of 12 lb., especially in heavy weeds and grasses. When knot tying, wet the line before cinching up. I prefer to re-spool every 15 to 25 hours of casting. This eliminates equipment problems. Does not dump the spool like other brands. I use the blue flourescent and contrary to popular belief, the fish really don't care and it's easy to spot in sunlight. I catch as many if not more fish as anyone else with me. Closest comparison is Stren.

This is the absolute worst monofilament I have ever used. I made sure to match the size of the line to the rod and the bait used, but each time I used it, tangles would abound. I never overloaded the reel (a spinning reel, for what it's worth), and literally every time I went out while using this line, I'd have to either pick apart a knot or cut it and splice it. Don't waste your money, get something good.
