SpiderWire Super Mono EZ Monofilament Fishing Line
Pretty good standard line
I really like this line. I've been fishing with 6lb rated line for the past year and never respooled. I fish maybe 1x a week and yesterday even managed to land a 7lb bass on this line!! I use both palomar and improved cinch knot and never had it slip on me once. The only problem i had was when I snagged on some tules and lost a pretty expensive lure... but that was it. any other time I was able to recover my lures.... so I guess it just depends. At least it beats fluoro...

I tied Palomar knots with this product and had no problems at all. My fishing partner who tied improved clinch knots had them slip twice while playing fish, fortunately not keepers. He switched to Palomar knots and had no more problems.

I bought some 10 pund test of this and putit on my new baitcaster and this line casts smoothly and i dont get many birds nests. I had to pull a fish out of a lot of lily padsand the line stayed firm and had a lot of resistence. i would defiently give this a 4.

This summer I have lost three bass (and lures) when 10 lb. SpiderWire broke or slipped at the knot. I used the same improved clinch knot that has worked well for 35 years of fishing. Last night's lost fish was my biggest fish of the year at an est. 6+ lb. I'm going to change line today and will not use SpiderWire in the future. Anyone with similar experience, please write a product review, I'm anxious to hear if it's the line or my technique.
