Sperry Top-Sider® Mako 2-Eyelet Canoe Moc Boat Shoes for Men - Amaretto
Sperry Top-Sider Best Boat Shoe Period
Over the past 20+ yrs my husband has owned over 10 pair of Sperry Top-Sider's. 2-Pr for his summer use & 2-pr for non-summer. The difference is the summer Sperry are worn w/o socks and usually have a white out sole while the non-summer Sperry are worn with socks and have either a dark colored sole or a gum colored out sole. He usually has 2+ pair of each in unopened boxes as he gets a pair when ever he finds them on sale and he has less than 2-pr in his reserve stash. He is tough on his shoes and Sperry has been his go to brand ever since we were in college over 30-yrs ago. So, when he finds a pair he really likes he get multiple pair's as he is a bit picky. He has 3-pr that are for summer use that have never been worn due to the longevity of this brand & its timeless style. You can NEVER go wrong with a pair of Sperry Top Sider Boat Shoe's !!! The best advice he has shared is that the Sperry he wears w/o socks when breaking in a new pair he will fill the bath with ankle deep warm water, then he puts a new pair of Sperry's on and walks back & forth in the tub for about 10-min, then he wears the Sperry's all day and puts them on the porch to finish drying over night. Then he ends up with a pair of Sperry Top-Sider's that a custom molded to his feet and ends up with no blister's !!

I bought these shoes because they were the only thing you had that was close to the Red Head shoes that I had previously purchased. In fact, I had purchased and worn three pairs of the Red Head mocassins over the last 4 years. Now, you don't carry them any more. These Top Siders were the only thing close to what I really wanted, but they cost entirely too much.

Have had many brands of "boat shoes" but keep coming back to Sperry Top-Sider. These are sturdy shoes (not floppy like some boat shoes), very comfortable, and the soles appears to be the type that will last forever, just like some of the other Sperry shoes. Fast service from Bass Pro made the order/receive process painless.

This pair of Topsides had a problem I've never encountered in dozen of previous deck shoes from that company: The interior dye is so poorly `set' that they have permanently stained a lot of socks.
