bad purchase hole to small to go over lug, cap will not fit over lug nut January 15, 2011
Spare tire lock This lock was purchased to put on my horse trailer while parked at a boarding facility. Others parked there have had spare tires stolen. Some people have moved their tires to their tack rooms. This is not a option that I wanted to use. I was able to order the lock and receive it in a short amount of time. I also was able to attached it by my self with out much trouble. It could be built with a higher quality metal. For the price it was a good buy. So far the lock is doing its job and I still have my spare trailer tire. July 30, 2013
Some Modifications Required This is a great product, the reason i only gave it 3 stars is if your wheel stud is too long you either have to cut it down or do what I did. Drill the center hole out so the wheel stud extends thru the lock. Buyer beware you might have to modify this item, but a little modification to this $6.99 part will save you over $150.00 or more for a new spare. May 9, 2008
works well, needs modification Second one I bought. First one lasted about 6 years and eventually just wouldn't open. Pried it off with lug wrench. On both of them I had to drill out the hole to accomodate a full-sized spare tire. For the price, it should deter a potential thief long enough for them to possibly move on to another unprotected tire. November 8, 2010
