I bought myself 2 of these last year and with a warm winter never got to use them until yesterday. I was quite satisfied with my purchase. Although we only had one flag go up on my trap, it was a good 3lb bass. Everything functioned as it should and is simple to set. I would call the trigger on the flag very sensitive, which is good for making sure you see every bite. My only worry would be using them on a very windy day having the wind send up false flags. If you are concerned with the amount of line, it's easy enough to replace the spool (only held on by a phillips head screw). The current spool although an obnoxious neon yellow color, has a nice notch for winding the line back on. Very helpful to use with gloves.

cheap investment to get into the sport. Good for panfish and shallow water, not for bigger fish or deeper water due to spool size.
