These spikes are very easy to install, just one click with the spike wrench, could probably be done by hand, that's how easy they went in.
As for wearing & using them,they are very sturdy and provide good traction, both, on full swing rotation and on a stable putting stance. I have had them on my shoes for about 10 rounds now, and have noticed very little wear. This includes walking on the concrete and asphalt of the parking lots, cart paths and interior floors. I have tried them on both settings with the adjusting ring, and could not feel any difference, personnaly, I think this feature is just a selling gimmick, dunno though, it could just be me.
Overall, I think these are the best spikes I've had so far..............
