Softex is a clear, solvent-based polymer system designed specifically for fly-tying applications where silicone, epoxy, and head cements are normally used. This is good product but you have to remember to close the lid as soon as you use it or it will dry.

I just could not sit by and let this product sit with the poor rating it received from one customer. Maybe if trout flies are all you tie then it is not necessary, but if you tie warmwater or especially salt water flies, then it is great stuff. You can use this stuff anywhere you would normally use epoxy. Great product. You won't be dissapointed!

Be careful when using this product! It has the famous "California warning" and must be used in a well ventilated room. It has a noxious smell.
I rate this low because I do not see it as a "necessary" product. I believe it to be more harmful than intended and I can get by without it.
