Delivering unprecedented ease and safety to boat launching!

A safe and easy way to launch and catch your boat! The electronically activated Snapper Boat Latch is controlled by a remote which allows one person to catch or release their boat from their boat trailer without having to get out of the boat, stand in the water or stand on a slippery, wet trailer for support. The Snapper's electronics are tightly sealed to prevent dirt, rocks, water and other harmful object from damaging the unit, while its polyurethane bumper allows the Snapper to come in full contact with boat hulls without marring or scuffing. The remote controlled Snapper required boats to have a stainless steel U-bolt bow eye.

When the boat is ready to be released, the boater pushes the Snapper’s remote control. The illuminated LED directional guide lights up, and the snapper jaws are set to allow for an easy release of the bow eye. The directional guide can be mounted on the snapper or the trailer.

When approaching the trailer, the boater activates the Snapper Boat Latch with the remote control. The red LED indicator will illuminate to indicate the Snapper Boat Latch is set to receive and secure the boat to the trailer. Once the boat’s bow eye passes through the Snapper Boat Latch jaws, the LED indicator turns off and the boat is instantly secured.

A:
Yes, either a 3/8" or 1/2" extended bow eye must replace the standard bow eye. This will ensure that the SNAPPER jaws will have enough space to lock the extended bow eye and have room to attached the winch strap.

A:
The only way the SNAPPER will work for the 175TXW is that the welded bow eye would need to be removed and replaced with an extended bow that ships with the SNAPPER.
