I am a walleye hunter...I use this crankbait exclusively at night during a new moon phase. I scout out weed bed flats and make sure these weed beds are holding perch and I just silently troll these "suspending" crankbaits and wait for the action to start. The hooks are "sticky sharp" and the plastic lip is pretty durable. I use the darker color patterns. A slashing then suspending troll pattern works best for me. Get two because when you loose that first one, you'll be happy to know that you have a back up!

...like...the St.Clair river walleye L O V E the rogues the suspending rogues slow the action DOWN in the river so the walleye get to see it longer and then comes the love....
i have nine of them...they are loved by the fin...

Had to add a little weight to make it suspend. the action is great. Have to wait till the water warms up a bit more to see if the bass eat it.

If you want to walk the dog, use Smithwick's Rogue floaters and not the suspending lures.

walking the dog is what topwaters do. This suspends under the water and works similiar to a crankbait.Details:
I know, it says suspending in the title, but on the Jimmy Houston video, I learned something. If the eyes are yellow, they float. If the eyes are red, they suspend. The eyes on the color samples are yellow, which means this bait floats, but it says suspending. Which is it? I would really like to know. Thank you to whomever answers this question.Answers
