Smithwick Floating Rattlin' Rogues Shallow Diver
Maybe I Got a Lemon!?!?
Loved the color selections and the depth at which it said it would dive to... and that's about it. The spoon came loose after the first cast, I tried to adjust it and cast again, when the lure came back it didn't track properly and the spoon was still loose. This will be returned at BPS. I'm hoping this is just a one off lemon that I got. I have one of their mid divers and some others on order, I hope I don't have similar issues. The colors are great and they look nice but, hmmmm. I use lures from all the companies and very rarely do I get a funky one like this though it's happened in the past, no company is perfect. Hopefully my other ones on order are good to go. I'll review those once I've fished with them.

Unavailable locally-great purchase
Shallow running Rogue lures are not available in local stores. They can be the best bait this time of the year in the correct water. I had 1 from years ago and compared the new ones to the old one by rotating after every catch. they all worked great with a slight edge in performance to the "Bream" and "Gold" color patterns.

I have been using rogues for over 20 yrs and even had Smithwick build me some gold rogues yrs ago. This one I ordered , the bass was on a smaller type bait and we caught over 50 fish on them. My partner won the Tournment with 5 fish that weighed around 27 lbs on the rogue. The baits are of high quality, run true and yes they catch fish. Of course you can always spend 40.00 for a custome jerk bait and watch us catch fish and that is what happened in the Tourment. I would really like some more gold rogure if you could talk someone in to making them.
