Bought as x-mas gift for my husband and his hunting knives. He loved it, not only did he sharpen his knives but also the kitchen knives. Would definately recommend.

This product sharpens knives fast and seems to leave a great edge. I was able to shave the hair off my arm after running through the sharpener and then the ceramic to polish the edge. It has only been used a few times, so we will see how durable the product is and how long the knives keep their edge.

The manual says that it does not reccomend serrated blades be used with the machine. It uses dual edge sharpening and serrated is usually single edge sharpened. From what I understood, it will greatly change the edge of the blade if you do sharpen a serrated blade.A:Â
No, but I recommend getting the smith's pocket knife sharpener. I basically looks like a pen. Once you "break it in" it is every bit as good as the larger more expensive stones. And oh. it does sharpen serrated edges.Answers
