The streamline, lightweight design of the Smith & Wesson® Model 637 Airweight® makes it an ideal concealed carry double-action revolver. The exposed hammer of the 637 enables you to cock the revolver for deliberate, precise aim. Shooting in double-action mode makes the revolver extremely fast to deploy in stressful situations, as there is nothing to remember to do except point and pull the trigger. The low profile, ramp front sight and the fixed notch rear sight are quick to line up, and the inherently ergonomic design, and synthetic finger-groove grips aid in the gun's natural pointability. The Model 637 is built on Smith & Wesson's famous J-Frame; it has a 5-shot cylinder rated for +P .38 Special ammunition. Stainless steel and alloy construction resist corrosion caused by humidity and perspiration when the revolver is carried close to the body. The Smith & Wesson 637 Airweight Double-Action Revolver carries easily, deploys rapidly, and has enough firepower to handle any self-defense scenario. Made in USA.

Light and Powerful Purchased this gun for my wife as he can not pull the slide back on our HK and HiPower 9mm pistols. Very lingt and well made and amazingly accurae for such a short barrel. What really surprised was the kick. You get to feel the full force of those .38 Spl. cartridges. Way way more than with the mild, heavier semi-automatics. Just got to get used to it, I guess. Will look into some Hogue grips, maybe providing and offering a little bit more padding. I am satisfied. One last comment; Wish I could find a "speed loader" that worked well without having to shave or modify the stock grips slightly, to make room for a more "straight in" cartridge insertion (without a lot of jiggling). Great gun Fun to shoot, reliable and accurate. I have a big hand and not a problem. I find the kick very mild and the trigger even on double action is great. Alsogreat for women that might have problems working the slide of a semi-auto pistol. Great for concealment. December 16, 2011
