Smith Optics Serpico Slim Polarized Sunglasses build on the legendary success of the Serpico aviator. The Slim modifies the original design by proportionally reducing it in size and scale to accommodate smaller faces. Carbonic lenses—the most impact-resistant lens material in the world—make these sunglasses ideal for hard outdoor use, but the styling suggests a more casual approach to outdoor fun. Tapered Lens Technology (TLT) provides 100% UVA/B/C protection and makes the objects you see both clear and clearly defined. These scratch-resistant lenses also feature a Hydroleophobic coating to repel moisture. Metal frames incorporate silicone nose pads for a comfortable fit. Medium fit/medium coverage. Manufacturer's lifetime warranty.About Smith Optics lenses:
- Polarized Platinum (gray lens with silver mirror coating) provides true color vision without affecting light reaching the eye.

I love the fit of this sunglass on my small face, it's just what I was looking for. I needed a non-polarized lens for flying, and finally found one with the Silver/Platinum. This would get 5 stars if it had an option for a grey non-polarized non-mirrored lens, since I need to wear it in uniform. The Blackout lens is not mirrored, but the Blackout lens has a colored frame which I can't use in uniform either. FYI: The Platinum lens does have a darker look than depicted in these pictures.

My right lens was loose too as a lot of people have said on these reviews. Simply tightening the eyewire screw solves the problem. When taking the glasses on and off so frequently, the screw will get loose, otherwise I love them !

Anyone who buys these be warned - in person they look absolutely nothing like the pictures on the site.
I first bought Matte black/gold mirrored. They are yellow - and definitely not mirrored, the eyes of the wearer are clearly visible in all light levels, indoors, outdoors, facing sun, away from sun. The picture is very misleading as you can see from my uploaded picture. Even my picture of these are a bit misleading. They are not mirrored and look yellow not gold. It is more obvious when they are on your face.
I returned and bought silver/polarized platinum, thinking they would be more mirrored or at least i'd like them better (on amazon these same glasses are called "platinum polarized polycarbonate." I thought they had sent me the wrong ones because the lenses are black. They sent me a replacement of the correct ones. It was the same thing - the lenses are black, as shown in the picture I uploaded. There is no mirror, no platinum, no silver. Black lenses.
I really wish the platinum/silver/ mirror or anything like it existed, as the fit and size and feel of these are great. Even the polarization seems at least adequate. But they do not have the look I want or the look portrayed on the site.
It really is laughable how much different both these models are in real life vs the computer generated pictures they post on this site. If they looked like the site claimed they'd get 5 stars.
