Smith Optics® Serpico Slim Polarized Sunglasses
Great Fit & Style – Poor Product Design
I also want to love these glasses, but as other reviewers have stated, the quality is really poor. I bought mine last year and when they arrived, the lenses were already scratched. After wearing them a few times, they started getting really loose and when I put them on they were all distorted. Yes, after tightening them they were great, but you literally have to tighten them after every use. Then the screw fell out completely and luckily I was able to find it and retighten. Just not a super well designed product. I do love the look of them and want another pair in a different color. Hoping a new pair means a better product!

really wanted to like these
I really do like everything about these glasses except for the small detail that they fall apart and the ear pieces scratch the inside of the lenses. I actually did love them, while I could still see out of them. I just heard about Smith's lifetime warranty, so we'll see if they stand behind this product. If they do replace/repair the glasses or if they could fix that one design flaw, these would be awesome glasses. Until I see how they handle the warranty issue, I honestly can't recommend these glasses. That being said, there are a lot of pros for these glasses, and I really do want to like/recommend them.
Pros: The size and shape of the lenses are exactly what I was looking for. I particularly like that they wrap around the face slightly, so they provide good coverage from the sides - all of this without being too big or bug eyed. They initially feel like a quality pair of glasses, and the clarity of the polarized lenses is amazing.

Dropped the ball on this one...
I Bought these glasses for my wife, she loved my Serpicos but they were way too big for her. The slims fit her great but They JUST FELL APART. Screws loosen, posts bend and the biggest problem is that the earpieces make contact with the inside of the lens and scratch the heck out of it. Major design flaw. For 119$ glasses they seem kind of pathetic. I'll never buy plastic lens glasses again and Smith doesn't offer a glass lens aviator. Bummer.

an Aviator with a great fit
I love the fit of this sunglass on my small face, it's just what I was looking for. I needed a non-polarized lens for flying, and finally found one with the Silver/Platinum. This would get 5 stars if it had an option for a grey non-polarized non-mirrored lens, since I need to wear it in uniform. The Blackout lens is not mirrored, but the Blackout lens has a colored frame which I can't use in uniform either. FYI: The Platinum lens does have a darker look than depicted in these pictures.
