The Open Country series puts the focus on highly durable, packable garments ideal for hunting open country and mountainous terrain where coverage is minimal. The Jetstream Jacket features a comfortable WINDSTOPPER® soft shell for total windproof performance, combining the comfort of a soft mid layer and the water-resistance of a shell. Ideal outerwear for glassing sheep on a windblown ridge or stalking into a north wind, the Jetstream Jacket offers a smooth, virtually seamless finish. 55/45 polyester/nylon. Rated 5 out of 5 by A Sitka Flagship Piece The Jetstream jacket was another home run for Sitka Gear. This jacket is a go to piece in my early/late season arsenal when downpours are not in the forecast. This jacket excels when glassing from ridge tops that are bitter cold and wind whipped. The windstopper material prevents the wind from robbing your warm microclimate next to your skin and reduces the garments overall weight/bulk. It is extremely warm when combined with the traverse or merino layers underneath and the DWR will ward off light rain and snow. The Jetstream jacket is made from a softshell material which streches, is very breathable and features articulated arms to retain range of motion. This jacket is only available in the Open Country, hopefully we will see it in Marsh some day. As a Gore product tester I highly recommend this garment. December 30, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by warm, comfortable jacket. this jacket is very light yet very warm, great jacket for spot and stalk hunt as it is light and takes up little space in a backpack. as with all sitka gear the tradeoff for the very high quality & comfort is the very high price. for this reason i have given this jacket 4 stars instead of 5.
