Warm, 700 fill down baffles keep you warm in the harshest winds, while the lightly brushed exterior minimizes noise. Sitka's Forest series places a premium on warmth and stealth for woodland environments, where you’re likely to sit motionless for long periods of time. High-loft, low-weight brushed fabrics help foil wind and trap heat, and both base layers and outerwear are cut for minimal bulk and full range of motion, making extended sits more bearable.

First, I would like to state that I am purely a recreational hunter, my vocation is operating an professional engineering company, and that I have no fiduciary relationship with any outdoors company. My goal is to provide an objective review of this product (I will discuss both jacket and bibs). The first observation I had was that Sitka provided good packaging to ensure the clothing was not damaged in transit, for those who may order online. This is too much money to have to deal with damage, wrong orders, and bad sizing. It is immediately obvious when first handling the Incinerator that the craftsmanship is superior. This is no ordinary retail camo. The cut lines are clean, the stitching is tight, and the fabric is beautiful. I bought the Forest pattern, and thus far, I have had several deer, both bucks and doe, in close proximity to my ladder stands without being spotted. The deer did look my direction and even upwards, and did not bust. All I got was the happy tail swoosh and head back down for food. And the deer in my area are rabbit-like skittish. My experience, thus far, is that the scientists at Gore-Tex have done something good with the optical science behind Opti-Fade. Now about the fit. Be cautious if you will order by their fitting guide. I fit out as a medium by Sitka's guide, but I needed a large. If you cannot try it on, buy one size larger. As far as the thermal protection, it is quite excellent. However, let me dispell one notion you might get from the name. This is a very warm outer layer, but please do not think that one can be careless about base layers and not get cold. I experimented with substandard base layers intentionally. You will be able to lower your base layer requirements, but one set of common cotton thermals below this suit is not going to give magical results. You may find yourself shivering. There are a couple of negatives I must share, one being that the largest zipper on front is not smooth. It is rugged, but Sitka should have coated it with something polymeric to smooth it. It can be sticky and stubborn. I had to coat mine with bowstring wax. The smaller zippers are fine. And speaking of bowhunting ( which is all I do season-round), this is important. This suit is fine for most bowhunting occassions. But there are those mornings when one can hear a leaf break from the branch, and you can hear the leaf hit the ground. If you have hunted much, you know those mornings. This fabric is not going to work on such a dead still morning. It is "brushed", but it is not good enough. It has a rustle, and an animal like a whitetail deer will bust on it. Gore-Tex has some work left to make this fabric quiet like fleece. On those type settings, it may be best to wear fleece or wool over this suit. All in all, this is a high quality, high tech, well engineered set of clothing. There are a few negatives, and hopefully Sitka and Gore-Tex will iron those out in the future. Best wishes and may the wind be in your face.
