Sitka's Forest Series places a premium on warmth and stealth for woodland environments, where you’re likely to sit motionless for long periods of time. I was reluctant to spend this kind of cash on camo, but really liked what I read on all the Sitka reviews. First, I'm 6'2" 220 lbs with an athletic build and I have always had a challenging time finding hunting clothes that fit me well. I was concerned about ordering by mail due to this challenge. I ordered this jacket in XL and it couldn't have fit better right out of the box. I've hunted whitetail a couple of times with this jacket here in Virginia and have no reservation whatsoever recommending this product very highly. All the design features on this jacket are SUPER-slick. My only complaint, the jacket does not have a slit in the back for my safety harness. I took it to my tailor and $25 later my new jacket had a 2 inch slit. Not sure about the camo pattern yet - I did get busted by a doe and I was about 20 feet up, but she just happened to look right at me. My advice if you are considering this item, don't think about how much you are spending and treat yourself to some new Sitka gear. You absolutely won't regret it.

I thought I would never pay this much for hunting clothes but I was wrong. I bought the jacket and bibs and can't believe the warmth and comfort. On top of that is how they have put in pockets and access points everywhere. Sitka thought of everything. This suit is not just clothing, it's gear and it will definitely keep me comfortable and on stand as long as I want to sit there. Is it overpriced? I think so but if you pay full price or get it on sale you will not be sorry.

Warm, quiet, well made jacket. The side zipper is a bit awkward, especially for someone with a bad shoulder :) but thats just me. Very warm with one or two layers underneath. I'm 6'2, 200lbs and ordered a large which fits very well but if you plan to wear alot of layers underneath you would want to upsize. The hand warmer pocket is awesome and so are the thumbhole cuffs. All in all very pleased, although I'm not convinced this is truly a $400 jacket.

This (along with Fanatic bibs) were my first Sitka products and I could not be happier. This jacket kept me comfortable in my treestand for the several days despite a stiff wind and cold temperatures. I especially like the muff pocket so I can keep my hands warm without needing to wear bulky gloves. The diagonal zipper takes some getting used to. The pockets are well thought out and provide quick access to everything I need.
I am 5'11" and 180 lbs and a large fit well.

It is relatively easy to zip but is not as intuitive as the normal vertical zippers you have used since childhood. I especially like that the end of the zipper is not directly below my chin, especially on those cold wintery days in the woods.
