I am impressed with this product. It is not as easy to install as one may think so amatuers beware. You will need a good belt sander, some wd 40 and lots of time and patience when it is time to start the finishing process. It took me over an hour to get it looking satisfactory and I will spend some more time on it yet.
My biggest complaint is that It does not come with a jig or a template to make a jig. Spend some time getting ready before you start sanding.
I am looking forward to hitting the range to see how well it works on reducing the muzzle flash and recoil on my .270 carbine. +

Tricky to grind (keep plenty of WD-40 on the sanding belt) but easy to install. Takes the kick out!!!

I could not find a recoil pad to fit my 45-70 Marlin and bought this grind to fit pad as a last resort. Glad I did. It made a difference in felt recoil of about half. Easily a five star rating except that the material is a little hard to grind without leaving a rough finished surface.
