Super comfortable in and out of the water. Does very well in muddy bottoms as well as rocky bottoms. Done extensive hiking from one side of the lake to another, stability is not that great but shoe was not designed for land anyway. Comfortable hiking shoe if wearing thick wool sock. Cleat area needs some more research. When cleats are installed it works like a charm but it requires some maintenance afyer every fishing session. Screws are attached directly to rubber, therefore, too much torque will reduce anchoring power on screw. Simms should research a possibility of installing metal anchors with threads for metal screw. I find them loose every inspection, too expensive to loose even one, almost a dollar each!
BOA system.... excellent. Wader sock ring on upper toe area/lower tongue bellow BOA cable, great idea and convinient. A-

My work boot is a 9 but I would be wearing a set of G3 stockingfoot waders with a warm sock in these boots any ideas of the size I should buy? 9 or ? to fit properly

I purched a pair of the simms freestone wading boots last year I wear a size 14 got a size 15 did not fit go at least 2 sizes larger if to big a extra pair of wool socks will do the trick

The Simms wading boots are sized to wear over your stocking foot waders and socks. Unless you are wearing extremely heavy socks sticking with your normal shoe size should work.1 of 1
