The price was very good for this gore tex shoe but after wearing them for about a week, my feet are sore. I think it's because there is no padding on the tongue. I get red marks on the instep of my feet. I have to wear them with the laces loosened to be able to stand to wear them. I'm probably unique because I do have flat feet and it may not be a problem for everyone.

I had been looking for some low cut hikers to wear for work and just happened to run across these at the store on Sunday. Couldn't resist the price for some Gore-Tex shoes and Simms makes some pretty good fishing equipment so thought I would give them a try. First off, they run very small...I normally wear a 10.5... occasionally an 11...I had to get an 11.5 in these for them to fit. That being said, they are VERY comfortable! I am on my third day of wearing them and very happy so far. I wore them yesterday to a construction site and they were very solid on the rocky fill material. They are a little heavy compared to some other shoes of this type which is the only reason I have given them 4 stars. The wide footbed makes them very stable.
