Rated 5 out of 5 by Muchhuntin Best waders I own
These are hands down the best fishing waders I own. I have owned them for I little over two months and paired them up with the white river fly shops extreme wading boots and have never had and issue with leakage and slippage while fishing. I've worn them in 65 degree water down to spring streams with 35 degree water with a little layering and not once got chilled. Will be goin to PA to do some steel heading in about two weeks and will update if they hold up good in the extreme cold temps up there.

I bought the Headwaters Gore-Tex waders before a fishing trip to Bennett Spring along with a pair of Simms Rivertek boots. They are a great combo. Waders are a little loose in the body torso area but should fit nicely in colder weather with more layers under them. I'm 6'-2' and 250 lbs and the XL would of fit me but were just too snug in the foot. I went with the XXL and the feet are perfect for my size 13.

Have not worn these yet but they seem well worth the extra few dollars compared to the Freestone waders I previously owned. The legs are much more "solid" from the Knees down. I did like the flip out pocket that was included with the Freestone waders but the velcro pocket on these will do just fine.

These sound more durable, but I'm looking for something that is breathable, and will be somewhat cool in 90+ degree weather. Are all Simms waders breathable? If not, are these?Answers
A:
Any gortex wader is going to be thin and breathable for the most part except for the neoprene stocking footA:
Yes these are breathable and definitely more substantial than the Freestone waders, especially from the knees down.A:
yes the are beathable all the simms waders are except the foul weather waders.A:
These are NOT breathable. If you are looking for goretex, or other more breathable boots, look for those that are in two parts --- the leg part and then the boot part. These are like giant rubber boots.Answers
A:
The front pocket is two pockets in one. It has the side slots for hand warmer pockets and the top is a separate Velcro closure pockets also.A:
Yes it is Velcro like the Freestone. The internal flip out pocket that is on the Freestone is NOT on these, if that was important to you.A:
Velcro at the top of the pocket. works well never had an issue with things falling out.A:
Yes, it velcroes across the top.A:
It is open.A:
