Rated 5 out of 5 by airopsk9 Great boot I purchased these boots along with waist high waders. Very comfortable and easy to put on and take off. Do order a full size larger than your foot though, maybe even a size and a half. Great sole and grip. You can't go wrong with Simms. July 7, 2011

Rated 4 out of 5 by claycracker Great boots Best wading boots i've ever had. Order a size larger than your shoe size though..i wear 11, ordered 11's and they're too small. Not a problem though, I'm giving them to my son and ordering another pair in 12's. Great traction on wet and dry surfaces, better than felt at the same price. Looking forward to wearing them for many seasons to come and not having to resole felt boots anymore. Tight lines! February 23, 2011

Half Sizing

Details:

I normally wear a 10.5 shoe. I own Simms Headwaters waders which have a pretty thick sock. Should I go to 12? I am having a hard time getting in to try them on, which I know would be the best solution. Thanks

Answers

Nope. Other boots really need you to up-size, but Simms are very comfortable with a match to your shoe size. They know you're going to use a wading sock, and prepared the fit accordingly. I wear a size 11 shoe, and the size 11 Simms boots are very comfortable.

If you do a fair amount of cold weather fishing and need to wear thick socks, then I would buy them a half size up. Otherwise, I think you'll love them. I used these for the first time this past week on a 3 day trip and was very pleased with them.
