Rated 4 out of 5 by pchbluejeans A good minimalist bag
The size is perfect to carry your files, tippets and a spare spool, enough for 1/2 a day fishing in the river.
This bag is not a cooler where you can put your trout in thus the smaller size in the description.

Bought this pack and tried it out a little in the sun, did some practice casts. It wasn't hot, and should protect the inner pocket's contents well from waves and such. I just ruined a box of flies at a beach, and bought this to prevent that. My only problem is that the zippers are kind of difficult to open one handedly.

The only advantage the Simms Dry Creek pouch has is that it's waterproof to rain (not submersible). There is really only 1 useful pocket, and there's hardly any dividers in it. To hold a few trout, small tackle box and worms is impossible.
I'd consider something larger for this price.
