I needed a pair of waders for float tubing. I wanted a pair of Simms waders as I have a lot of other Simms gear and I love the brand. However, as anyone else who owns Simms knows, cost is always a factor. However, I always say, you get what you pay for.
I believe these waders are the very bottom model you can get at their cheapest price of $179. These are the most basic pair of waders.
I am 5'11" and I weigh 210 pounds with a medium build and the Large fit me perfect. I still have room to wear a sweatshirt on the inside of the waders. The crotch area is a little tight when you sit down, but not terrible.
After several uses while float tubing in 40-50 degree water, I am happy with the product. Each trip was about 6 hours on the water and I was dry at the end of each trip.
One recommendation I would have if you use these in cold water is to wear thermals and wool socks. These waders are thin and have no insulation.
Overall, its a great product for the price.
