Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 37 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by First rangefinder ever purchased This rangefinder does everything I wanted. I am a turkey hunter and wanted a rangefinder to help we judge distances to trees and decoys to help avoid misses and/or crippling wildlife. It is easy to use. You will need to purchase a 9-volt battery separately. Great value for the price. April 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Effective Golf Tool I don't write reviews as a rule, but I've been using this product for a year in northeast. Only one 9 volt battery used and still half charge left. Accurate over 300 yards (all I need). Very impressed with product for price. Dropped 4 strokes on 9 hole course with no fairway markers with this tool. April 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Impressed Yesterday was the first time I really used my rangefinder. It was at a 3D shoot. It really helped me increase my score. I can't wait to take it hunting. March 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great for golf We use this as a range finder for golf and it is so quick and accurate. I love it! March 20, 2013

A:
No, you would want a rangefinder with ARC ( angle compensating technology)
for that. This one does not have that capability.

A:
Per the manufacturer, this has not been tested before. However, they do state it most likely will not work because the mesh will defuse the laser that is being sent out of the unit. Thanks

Yard accuracy

Details:
For Bow Hunting: If I'm in a tree 30 feet in the air and the deer is 20 ft from the base of the tree, does this rangefinder compensate for my shot? Do I have to shoot 3 ft above or below? Does this rangefinder compensate for my accuracy?
In other words does this work 30 yards for a bow only?

Answers

A:
Some rangefinders compensate for shot angles, this one does not. Strictly gives you a line of sight distance reading.

A:
no it measures distance.
You should shoot from the hight your stand is at so you can figure out the drop of your arrow. usually from that high there isn't much of a drop so you shoudl set you pins from there not from ground shooting.

unless you spends a FEW hundred for a fancy range finder

Answer this Question

Answers

A:
I've used for a flag up to 160 yards away. Long distances I hit the front of the green or the bottom of flag-stick using bottom line of focus box. Or I use a bunker or object at same distance. Smart use gets the right result every time.

A:
I guess you could I would just aim at the bottom of the flag than the flag.

A:
I don't think it would pick up the flag itself. It's just to small of an object at a great distance. But it would pick up the green right by it.

yes from 40 yards away and further and its too difficult to aim at the flag. but you could aim at the green at the base of the flag

its water resistant not water proof. if it gets lightly wet its ok but you drop in a deep puddle it will fog up.

accuracy depends on how hard its raining.

Yes, it would be great for bow hunting as you don't need more than 350 yards of distance. It's a great little machine.

Yes. It works well short range (under 100 yards), long range (100-300 yards) is so so. One down side to this range finder is low light conditions, you can barely make out the display. Still a good rangefinder for a budget.
