Yes these items can save you time on the range to sight in your weapon. But when the batteriesdie out and you contact Sight Mark company to even find the batteries, you'll get the run around more so this company will not even give you a cross reference listing.

Worked like a champ and very stable in the chamber. This is much better than other bore sights that have to be inserted at the front of the barrel, which usually moves around and that defeats the whole purpose. Also comes with a nice pocket sized transport pouch that you can take with you anywhere.

Bought one of these for my .223 and .308. Boresighted down the hall of my house then went to the range was on paper at 50 and 100 yards. Key to red lasers is using them inside or shaded area to boresight, This got the job done for me.

Not a bad laser
This works well with pistols - open the breach and insert the 22LR shaped laser and it shoots a strong laser beam out of the barrel. Set your sights on the laser dot and you'll be "Close" to right on. I use it on my Mark II and Mark III pistols and it gets very close to dead on but not perfect. Will NOT work on my SW 617 revolver or probably any 22LR revolver. If you put the laser in the cylinder you cannot close the cylinder. If you try putting the laser in the barrel, the forcing cone (breach end) of the barrel is too small. Stick to pistols and rifles and it works fine.
Wire from battery to laser is ok but a bit delecate. The laser is strong brass and the battery container seems strong. It's a bit expensive but with care should last a lifetime.
