Great for the price I purchased this as my first 3D target and I am impressed. For the money it is a very good target. I made the mistake of hitting outside of the vital replacement area with a broadhead tipped arrow on about six or so shots. It blew out the back side and foam just fell out. As long as you do not "miss" the vital area you are fine, but if you do you will have exit holes on the opposite sides. The reason I was not too worried about using broadheads is because it advertises that it CAN stop them, and the replacement core is fairly durable. I would recommend for anyone looking for a bargain basement 3D, but be aware that broadhead misses will blow out the opposite side. I feel the reason this happens is due to the thinness of the target as a whole. A thicker target may be more tolerable of misses, but that is why this target is so much cheaper than others. Good for the $ Only been using this for 2 weeks and im happy so far! stops arrows from 20 yds with the Mathews Monster ! Great target for the money! November 3, 2010
good product for the money. I recently purchased this target and love it. Extremely easy to set up and very stable. Vitals come out easily to switch or remove deep arrows. People need to stop comparing items to the top brands available. Items are cheaper for a reason. I would highly recommend this target. September 15, 2010
awsome for the money I bought this target about 3 months ago and it is great for the money. Broadheads are hard to remove but I have really enjoyed practicing with this target September 11, 2010

Yes. I've hit both the replacement vitals and the "rest of the target" with broadheads. I'm shooting ~290 fps from 38 yards. Broadheads (target broadheads...so blades aren't brand-new sharp) stick about 1"-6" through the back side. No big deal.

I do not suggest it. I shot a broadhead into mine and had to break the target insert to pieces to get it loose...broke my arrow in the process! This target is great for field tips though.

Yes, but if you miss the vital area the target and arrow will pay the price. I always practice w/ field tips & havn't had any trouble, even when I'm off the vital area. (yeah I'll admit it!!!!)

I don't know if they're intended to be inserted and removed repeatedly. They are not installed when they come in the box. So...you don't HAVE to install them. I chose not to install mine because I really didn't care whether the target had them or not. If you choose to install them, I don't know if you can remove, re-insert, etc...

they are, but if you remove them multiple times the 'pedicle' will deteriorate. i don't recommend removing them.

It's not layered. It appears to me to be a self-healing solid foam block. I'll put 20 arrows in it in one session. Come back the next day and the holes seem to have largely closed themselves up.

just foam. this is definitely a 'value' based target and performs just fine in that capacity.

Feels like its just foam, but don't buy it if you're shooting an adult bow. Shot it 4 times and had 3 pass throughs. Arrows are extremely hard to remove!
