awsome for the money I bought this target about 3 months ago and it is great for the money. Broadheads are hard to remove but I have really enjoyed practicing with this target September 11, 2010
Just what I wanted I purchase this for my 5 year old son to use with his youth bow and he loves it and for the price and qualitiy it was well worth the purchase. January 10, 2013
nice priced target the shooter buck is a great value. it brings realism to practice and arrows remove easily with field points. setup is quick and easy too. September 13, 2011

Yes. I've hit both the replacement vitals and the "rest of the target" with broadheads. I'm shooting ~290 fps from 38 yards. Broadheads (target broadheads...so blades aren't brand-new sharp) stick about 1"-6" through the back side. No big deal.

I do not suggest it. I shot a broadhead into mine and had to break the target insert to pieces to get it loose...broke my arrow in the process! This target is great for field tips though.

Yes, but if you miss the vital area the target and arrow will pay the price. I always practice w/ field tips & havn't had any trouble, even when I'm off the vital area. (yeah I'll admit it!!!!)

I don't know if they're intended to be inserted and removed repeatedly. They are not installed when they come in the box. So...you don't HAVE to install them. I chose not to install mine because I really didn't care whether the target had them or not. If you choose to install them, I don't know if you can remove, re-insert, etc...

they are, but if you remove them multiple times the 'pedicle' will deteriorate. i don't recommend removing them.

It's not layered. It appears to me to be a self-healing solid foam block. I'll put 20 arrows in it in one session. Come back the next day and the holes seem to have largely closed themselves up.

just foam. this is definitely a 'value' based target and performs just fine in that capacity.

Feels like its just foam, but don't buy it if you're shooting an adult bow. Shot it 4 times and had 3 pass throughs. Arrows are extremely hard to remove!
