Rated 5 out of 5 by Ad-hoc King setup Fishes like a $500 TOL reel. Silky smooth drag. Purchased for a balloon rig to be used on pier; easily accommodates 1500 yards of 20lb braid. Hooked 150lb Black-tip shark; ran off 300 yards and I locked him down. Fish proceeded to strip off line, and the drag was just as smooth as it was in the strike position. If you have never owned a lever drag reel, try this one; but be fore-warned, you'll sell every star drag reel you own. Dollar for dollar, this is by far the best 4/0 reel I have owned. Fish smart, fish safe, and fish some more! November 4, 2006
Rated 5 out of 5 by Impressed!!!! Tired of using the rented rod and reel combos on the party boats I frequent, I finally purchased a reel to go with one of the many rods I've purchased over the years. So far so great!! Though I only caught one bluefish yesterday, everything worked well. I followed the drag setting instructions using a scale and easily reeled in my first (and only) catch of the day. Looking forward to years of great performance and greater catches!! September 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by a off shore must have i have several of these reels and take them on every trip. whether i am trolling for Kings or bottom fishing for grouper they always stand up to the test. I used to look for the perfect reel and now i just look for a deal on on this one. July 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great all around reel. I picked up a TLD20 for a rod I picked up on my way to go striper fishing. Was very impressed with the way this jewel can cast. Hooked a few nice stripers that night, but it really proved it's worth to me on a nice 43 pounder that took several long hard runs, drag was incredibly smooth, when the fish made it's last hard run to go under the pier I locked him down at full drag and pulled him right out. I will be buying a few more very soon. May 9, 2012

Will be great on an ugly stick tiger, that what I put mine on. I have 700 yards of 50# power pro line on mine, it has a very deep spool.
