Rated 5 out of 5 by Shimano talica 25 ii Bottom fished 260feet for snapper and grouper. Caught 5 snapper over 20lbs and a 35 lb gag grouper. Paired this with a star paraflex 66xxxh conventional boat rod. This set up cant be beat for bottom fishing July 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The greatest 2 speed This summer I caught a 60lb tuna with the 16 reel. It took me 10 minutes to land the fish. I had it on low speed and just kept winding down until the gaff. So I went out and bought the 10 and the 20. September 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by These Talica reels are BEASTS!!! I have the Talica 10II, 12II, 16II, & 25II. These reels do everything I need them to do from Trolling wahoo, drift fishing for snapper & kings, bottom fishing grouper & AJ's, and chunking for tuna! Last year I pulled in a 117lb Yellowfin Tuna on the 25II. It stood up and fought the fish with ease. I would highly recommend these reels. March 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Talica 16ii Absolute awesome reel. You will not be disappointed. I have the 20 and the 16 February 20, 2013

I was going to get the terez by shimano but they cancelled their lifetime replacement and heard a lot of those rods snap. I got a star paraflex 66xxxh conventional boat rod for bottom fishing. Pulled snapper and grouper of 27lb and 35 lb right off the bottom. Couldnt be happier

When I first purchased this reel I used the 30 and realized it was quite small. About a month later I purchased the 50 and it is now my favorite Reel!
