Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these Reels I have been using Shimano reels exclusively for the past 30 years. These reels rock. I have 3 of them and they are smooth as silk. There not $100 reels but for the money you wont be sorry.I used to tournament fish years ago and my Shimanos have never let me down. I still have the very first one I ever bought and it still works like new , just maintain them every year and you wont be dissapointed. April 25, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Intermediate Reel I purchased this reel 4 or 5 months ago, and so far I "reely" like it. I got it to put on a new rod that I had to use for a mix of salt and freshwater fishing. The bearing system is smooth for only having 4 bearings and makes little to no sound, even after I accidentally left it in the woods for about a week and a half. It's great for a beginner or even someone with a lot of experience looking for a cheaper reel for a backup rod. If you are on the market for a decent reel, take this one into consideration for sure.
