Depends if your spooling with braid or mono, I've got a 150 bottom shot of 40 pound mono with a bimini twist to 80lb invisbraid with about 300yds to 350yds on that...these reels are great you'll never been disappointed with them...I use these for client reels for sharks, groupers, jewish, anything big and mean because they have a level wind for my unexperienced clients....I've had two of them for about 3 and a half years and I just wash them down & clean them myself probably once a year...what are you going to use them for?

A:
The TE is a little higher in quality and also features a bait clicker. Either one works extremely well. I have both and really cant tell any difference.
