Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality Reel As always with the Shimano products i have bought in the past this one as well is totally what i expected to receive. Smooth casting, awesome drag system and is a boat winch when reeling in those 20lb-60lb flatheads. Only downfall is "Shimano" needs to include the rod clamps in the box as some of their leading competitors do. You have to buy theirs seperate which is a hassle for me. May 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bought a pair of Calcutta 700 TE's I love these reels, I use these for my unexperienced clients whom don't know how to wind without a level wind, probably around 3 times a week for around 3 and 1/2 years and they've pulled many gags, jewfish, snappers, even a wahoo or two off the bottom. Great reels plenty of power super smooth drags...can't recommend enough. Shimano hit another home run... January 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best ever I picked up one of these for my tarpon fishing trip to Rio Parismina Lodge in Costa Rica. I loaded the reel with 65 lb Power Pro braided line. The reel was flawless for the entire trip, and CPR (catch, photo & released) over 20 tarpon. I'd buy another in a heartbeat, without any reservations! July 23, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Shimano dose it again the TE700 can handle anything from livebaiting sailfish to inshore snook fishing with big jigs or bait.also the drag is super smooth, the other day i hooked into a 45lb wahoo offshore and the drag never jamed up and the reel had the power to bring him in. Depends if your spooling with braid or mono, I've got a 150 bottom shot of 40 pound mono with a bimini twist to 80lb invisbraid with about 300yds to 350yds on that...these reels are great you'll never been disappointed with them...I use these for client reels for sharks, groupers, jewish, anything big and mean because they have a level wind for my unexperienced clients....I've had two of them for about 3 and a half years and I just wash them down & clean them myself probably once a year...what are you going to use them for?

A:
The TE is a little higher in quality and also features a bait clicker. Either one works extremely well. I have both and really cant tell any difference.
