I got the 50-100 pound rod with Okuma Coronado reel spooled with 65# power pro, this was an upgrade over my old tiger rod for saltwater and catfishing. The rod is light and not a single flaw. Well worth $70 and the performance is top notch. I even used it for largemouth once because I left my lite rod at home, cast just as far and not a problem detecting strikes from 2-4 pounders. Have not gone after anything huge yet, 15 pound blue fish this past weekend. Hope to get to virginia to get some striped fishing this next weekend.

Why buy a custom?
These rods are very impressive. I have the Tiger LIte Spinning version and am pleasantly surprised. Got it as a spare for my custom built rod and made me wonder why I would buy another custom rod. Very light, Fuji guides, tough as nails, and under $70. My custom is slightly lighter but it also cost 3 times as much....If you want to get into vertical jigging pair this with the 760 Slammer, 65 pound Power Pro and you won't be disappointed.

The rods are built very light in weight, with very stiff backbone. The 100# is for braid line rating, so if you vertical jig for large fish in saltwater the rod will be good for that. I use it for bottom fishing mostly because I can hold them all day without getting to heavy, father in law loves trolling with them, and they have allot of pulling power for getting fish up and off the bottom. So if you want a light weight all around rod for big saltwater game give it a shot. Also use mine for catfishing just to give you an idea of how flexible the rods are, for the $$ you won't find anything this tough.
Depends what you are fishing for. I have several of these rods in different sizes. I have a Fin Nor offshore 55 on one, and a Okuma Salina 2 size 10000 on another. The rods have a great flex all the way down to the handle. I like a reel with some serious drag. The Okuma has over 50# and the Fin Nor has around 40# of drag pressure.
