Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Pole Ever Made ~ Ugly Stik Tiger BWC2202 I'm a Big Fan of the Ugly Stik series for many years now. I just purchased 2 of the Shakespeare Ugly Stik Tiger BWC2202 to handle the Giaint 60+LBs Flathead Catfish on the Rock River here in Illinois.. Let me tell you This Tiger Ugly Stik is the best pole i ever purchased... Very Very Strong, Sturdy and the High Quality of how its made and the Componants used to make it.. Make it problly one of the Best poles on the Market. I've used many Catfish and big game poles Such as the Quantum Big Cat Poles and they dont come even close to the Strenth and Quality of a Ugly Stik Tiger Pole. Try using a Ugly Stik Tiger pole Combined with a new Abu Garcia 6600d6 Baitcaster reel and Berkley Spiderwire 85 lbs test braid and you will be ready for the Largest Lunker Fish you can Find AnyWhere and easilly drag them in. Rated 5 out of 5 by Shakespeare tiger BWC2201 This rod combined with a Penn 330GTI is an excellent combo using leadcore line and fishing for stripers trolling. It handles both jig heads with a tail of some sort as well as large deep diving plugs up to 10 inches in length. The GTI can handle 13 colors of 36 lb lead core. July 15, 2006
Rated 5 out of 5 THE BEST BIG FISHING POLE MADE TODAY IF YOU LIKE TO CATCH BIG FISH THIS IS THE FISHING POLE FOR YOU. THIS POLE HAS THE BACK BONE TO HANDLE THE BIG ONES. A FRIEND LET ME BORROW HIS FOR A STRIPER TRIP DOWN THE CAPE(CAPE COD)AND I COULD NOT WAIT TO ORDER UP ONE FOR MYSELF SEEING HE WOULD NOT PART WITH THAT ONE,NOW I KNOW WHY. HANDS DOWN THIS IS THE BEST FISHING POLE I HAVE IT CAST MINT, AND IS STRONG ENOUGH TO HANDLE ANY LARGE FISH TRUST ME......... HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT July 13, 2006

about the guides?

Details:
My question is: I read where the guides are Stainless Steel. How will they stand up to braided super lines? I know from years past the braided lines will cut into metal guides and ruin them.....Thank for any ideas on this.

I use mono line on this rod and even that is wearing down the guides. I would replace the tip top with a Fuji Hardloy.

A casting rod has a trigger on the handle and requires a baitcast reel, which sits on top of the rod. Spinning rods have no trigger and require a spinning reel, which is mounted under the rod.

A:
Yes these tiger rods are what you want if your going after fish 5 to 30 lbs very tuff rod stainless eyelets be sure and select your action for the size fish your after the meduim light 12 to 30lbs has very good action even from a 1lb fish. The walleye can get pretty big I would use the meduim light action for walleye. You could use it for pan fishing if you wanted but I would select the light action for pan fish.

I would think most would find these rods a little overkill for walleye. Commonly used for big catfish or saltwater fish.

No item number 38-133-698-00 does not have a trigger. Most big water rods are not designed with the trigger.
