bought for wife so i could get my ugly sticks back. she hasen't used yet but it looks great and the pink on it will keep my sons from taking it. she can't wait to use it. again its an ugly stick. I've broken many poles, but never a ugly stick and they get used hard. if you haven't used a ugly stick yet, you haven't lived life. ya I love um! great quality and durabilty for a small price. I'd put it up against any $100.00 plus pole all day long

I bought this rod for my wife for her birthday. She was able to test it out for the bass season opener and it performed very well. A few hours into our trip we swapped rods and I caught a few bass with her new ugly stik. I liked it, but I am partial to ugly stiks anyway. My only complaints are that it is a 2 piece rod and that the rod is just a little too beefy at the handle for my liking. But for $30 I can overlook those little things. Great product with a great warranty.

I purchased this rod along with a Shimano Sedona reel for my daughter's birthday. She can cast what seems like a mile, and is very accurate with the cast (Look out ducks). Awesome rod, just wish Shakespear made that same lite action in a mens rod. Guess I'll just have to by one of these and paint it. :)
